Balloon Party is an album project organized primarily by Circuitfry. The first album, 100% No Feeble Cheering BronyCon . It was the largest community event since the Remix Wars event but this time with a limited amount of spots on the compilation, a judging panel to select those tracks, it was marketed directly to fans, and marketed as a fund raiser. It was very financially successful, topping the bandcamp sales charts for the week, and ended up with excess funds which were later given to charity.
Due to some controversy over the amount of the musicians that were not able to make it onto the first compilation Aviators organized the After Party event. It took additional tracks that were either originally submitted for the prior event, remixed further, or new tracks and made up an additional release a month later. It found a much smaller reception in contrast.
In November of 2012, Circuitfry announced the next album in the series to be Rainbow & Rooted: Four's Fall Down Rainbow Dash theme while 100% No Feeble Cheering was modeled after Pinkie Pie . While Rainbow & Rooted specifically asked for more of an MLP influence, Balloon Party did not make that a central requirement for the music. Either due to not marketing the event as a fundraiser or due to more vocal criticism it received a smaller amount of funds then the previous year ($3,000). It did achieve a wider mix of genres and has found many people who prefer it to the previous compilation.
