Photo Finish is a famous fashion photographer. So far she only has a speaking role in the episode Green Isn't Your Color, although she makes another appearance in Sweet and Elite, during the song Becoming Popular (The Pony Everypony Should Know). Beginning with season four, she appears in the opening credits, taking a photo of Twilight and her friends, which is sent to Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. She is also present in Ponyville in the season four finale as part of the group approaching Twilight's new castle when it's being shown off to the residents.
She speaks with a strong German accent and often talks in an imperative mood, being very commanding and authoritative.
Her human counterpart is a student at Canterlot High School in the My Little Pony: Equestria Girls series, taking photos at the Fall Formal in the first film and participating in the Battle of the Bands as leader of the Snapshots in My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks, among other brief appearances.
Depiction in fan labor[]
In The Infinite Loops (a series in which most universes have a section of time repeating; in MLP's case, the events depicted in the series, starting with seasons 1-3 and later expanding as additional material was released), Photo Finish is not looping, but still makes a few appearances. A few loops depict her as Rainbow Dash's somewhat estranged mother (and the source of her great speed), while others portray alternate versions of her appearance in Green Isn't Your Color.
In Nightmare Night and Nyx, Pinkie Pie invites her to Princess Luna's Nightmare Night/castle-warming party as one of many guests whom both the Canterlot upper-class ponies and the locals of Ponyville would want to be around. She dresses as herself, and as the party is concluding, is seen squeeing over how adorable the Cutie Mark Crusaders look after they've fallen asleep.
Relationships[]
In the story Photo Shy, she realizes she has romantic feelings for Fluttershy, and admits them to the other mare. While initially surprised, Fluttershy agrees to give their relationship a try.
