Fleur de Lis is an originally unnamed supporting character from the episode Sweet and Elite who is manifestly Fancy Pants’ girlfriend/wife. This white and pink unicorn has a very specific design, similar to the two winged unicorn princesses, and three fleurs-de-lis as cutie mark. Because of her beauty, she is shown by the MLP community as a model.
Depiction in fandom[]
Fleur is widely considered to be a stereotypical "trophy wife", as she has been depicted as a classic snobby aristocrat, always agreeing and siding with Fancy Pants. This is because of the fact that she's only had one line; the rest of the scene she's in is just her leaning against Fancy Pants. Like Fancy Pants, she marvels at Rarity's connections to Princess Celestia.
Relationships[]
In fan art, she is normally shown with Fancy Pants, embracing him and sometimes being a little too grabby with him. If not, she is lounging, sometimes with liquor or on a posh-looking bed. In more mature fan labor, she is seen sleeping with plenty of stallions, and sometimes with mares. In a similar theme, Fancy Pants is sometimes seen as a pimp, making Fleur a prostitute by association.[citation needed]
Other stories portray Fleur and Fancy Pants as a loving couple.[1]
In at least one story, Fleur is portrayed as Fancy Pants' sister rather than his wife or girlfriend.[2]
Aside from Fancy Pants, she is occasionally shipped with Rarity[citation needed] or Fluttershy.[2]
Special talent[]
Since Fleur's cutie mark is a fleur-de-lis, a symbol meaning multiple things, her talent has been speculated to be a number of different things, including:
- Art, perhaps a fashion designer or model
- Leadership
- Beauty
- Political affairs
- Talent scouting, meaning she could have a keen eyes for fashion among other things
- Creativity
- Intellect, specializing in strategy or such things as above
