MLP: Fiends from Dream Valley is a upcoming fan-game started in April 17, 2011. A demo was released on April 30, 2012. The game has the G1 villains: Lavan, Squirk, Crunch, Arabus and Grogar with his designs remade.
History[]
In the demo the story starts when Twilight and Spike go to Princess Celestia's castle to a party meeting four strange ponies after Celestia finish the royal business Twilight is teleported to the Everfree Forest where finds Angel,Applejack and a petrified Rainbow Dash; Applejack says they need to find Zecora. In the road they find Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie, but later when they head back to the mountain, they find Rainbow Dash free of the curse (maybe due to Zecora) and decide to climb the mountain. After finishing the mission, the demo is over.
closing the project[]
After contacting one of the developers,i asked the question: "why did such a wonderful project close?" I thought that the mail i wrote to was not active and that no one would answer me. To my surprise,i was told,that they could not continue developing the game because their supervisor (not verbatim) most likely,he committed suicide,because nothing was heard of him.
Interview with the developer[]
In August,i got around to asking about some things related to game development:
- This is a bit of a personal question,but what did you start doing after the breakup of the team? / I did game animation for a while then plumbing now I'm an engineer at a brewery.
- How many people were on the development team? / There were probably a dozen people counting va but the core staff was like 5 people.
- How did you get the idea to create a game about mlp? / There were lots of people working on mlp games TimeSoda had started on it before I got on the team.
