Horse-News.net is a fan-news website created in 2014. It is operated by users of 4chan's /mlp/ board, as well as many members of the rest of the community. This website deals with topics that are often not covered by other media sites, including adult topics and 4chan-related news items, community "drama", in addition to the typical show-related news.
History[]
Horse-News was created on January 10th of 2014 by a group of users from /mlp/. The twitter and associated accounts were created in the following days. 2 months after its launch, Horse-News claimed a spot as the 2nd largest fan-news site for My Little Pony in the United States in terms of Traffic.
Style[]
Horse-News (or "HN" as it is typically abbreviated) uses a combination of "real news" and satire/parody, often without indicating what news is which. This is deemed intentional by the staff. The website has been compared to such sites as "The Onion" or "Cracked", as well as television programs such as "The Daily Show". The name "Horse-News" is a parody of "FOX News" as well as being a reference to a quotation by another media site.

Horse-News covers an array of unique topics, such as coverage of seasons of the 4chan cup and fandom-related "drama". The writers also regualrly perform interviews with a variety of subjects, including adult-film actresses, presidential candidates, My Little Pony show-staff, members of the community, and hollywood musical directors.

HN has 2 mascots, an announcer named "Butch Aardvark" who is a ponified "Green Face" anon, as well as "Newsie" the pony "Editor in Chief" of the organization. HN has no discernable hierarchy to speak of unlike many sites.
