HACKD is the pseudonym of an American musician from California who is known for their hardcore MyLittlePony fan music ranging from IDM (Indie Dance Music) to French/Breakcore. They have also helped to run the pony music channel called Cider Party and Horse Music Herald for new music releases in the fandom. They describe their music as simple "pony rave music".

They were a common staple for Pinkamena Party submitting 11 tracks which included their first release for both album project and the artist. They also participated in Balloon Party (II, One Last Shot) with one track after being rejected for the main album (II, Rainbow & Rooted) with their crossbreed-genre submission called 'Vendetta'. They took part in various Pony Music Compos also known as Toastbread.

HACKD's MyLittlePony character is a purple earth pony with piercings who uses a zaglo motif which is a malign chaotic entity that can manifest in text to give a frightening, corrupted or glitchy asethetic. A side effect of Zaglo, The Nightbringer (C'tan of death, destruction, and oblivion) is that the victim has their eyes are drained and bleed extensively as a result, a quality which the zaglopone shares hence the name. This contrasts well with their style of music which can be described as Terrorcore at times. Their cutiemark is a music note merged with a skull at the bottom.

Animation[]

In September 2015, HACKD posted their first animation called honestly darling featuring the Mane 6 characters, Rarity & Fluttershy as well as the original music, Sugar & Spice by RKIT (HACKD). In a continuation of this series, a second animation called honestly darling 2 was released starring the characters, Celestia, Nightmare Moon and Twilight on January 2016. A possible 'honestly darling 3' was mentioned on Youtube in July 2017 but this was either never made or hasn't been released.

Unfinished Works[]

During the period between 2014 and Summer 2015, Ten tracks which were only intended to supplement DJ sets were either abandoned due to lack of interest in finishing them or succumb to project file loss. In July 2017, a pack "free to download" was released through Youtube but the download links no longer function. In the winter of 2015 and most of 2016 for, HACKD was occupied by their management of Horse Music Herald and Cider Party as well as their Illustrative works as they had experienced a "Disillusionment with the pony DJ scene".

  • All Day Everyday (2015)
  • Back Alley Bootleg (2015)
  • Bottoms Up! (2015)
  • Fealty To The Night "VIP" (2015)
  • Hard Cider "VIP" (2015)
  • Kill Em Wit Da Hype "VIP" (2015)
  • Maverick "Rework" (2015) HACKD vs RKIT
  • Lights Out! (2015) Originally by RKIT, HACKD Remix
  • Sugar & Spice (2015) as RKIT
  • It's A Rock (2015) Originally by Seventh Element, HACKD Remix

Apart from these tracks, there was going to be two albums. They're quoted as potentially being:

  • Command Error In Pony "which would basically be more of what I've been known for in the past and will mostly be former Pinkamena Party submissions (All I Want, The End Is Neigh, etc) plus a couple new tracks in the same nature."
  • Spit Yo Bit! (naming similar to the previous, Bust Yo Flank!) "which would feature a small selection of choice crossbreed tracks that I've been stockpiling over the last couple years. The tracks were originally going to be Project Horizon tunes", but they've since lost interest in this and would have rather casted them as episode responses, they likened it to "a whole EP of Vendettas".
