And that's how Equestria was made!! is a webcomic by Spanish artist Fadri based on My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. It updated about once a week with a comic strip based on the recent episode or fandom contrevesy; however, it now updates on a somewhat irregular schedule. An RSS feed is available.
Style and content[]
The comic's art utilizes a unique style which does not attempt to ape the style of the show but is much more loose. The comic often references specific scenes from the show or issues from the fandom (such as the popular ponies in socks motif or the controversy about Lyra's name).
The Flank Anomaly[]
Most of the comic's run consists of one-shot gag strips. The May 21 update introduces an actual storyline called "The Flank Anomaly" which sees all of the ponies of Ponyville lose their cutie marks, including Colgate, Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, Rarity, and Twilight. Twilight quickly realizes the problem and attempts to look for a cure, when Rarity bursts into the library, anxious to tell her friend something. Said "something", unlike what Spike expected, is not that Rarity's cutie mark has disappeared, which the unicorn hadn't even noticed before it was pointed out to her.
