A New Dawn is a fanfiction written by Gunflame345 and illustrated by BroDogz. It is a crossover between Sonic the Hedgehog and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. An alternate timeline to the Archie Comics continuity, specifically the Eggman Empire arc, it is a far darker story than standard crossover material, primarily Equestria and rising conflict with foreign regions of their dimension, with the potential danger of world war, all the while on Mobius, Dr. Eggman launches a devastating attack on Knothole Village that results in the deaths of at least half the Freedom Fighters, leading Sonic and the remaining heroes to flee away into the Flicky Zone through a warpgate. Sonic and Shadow remain to face Eggman, but Shadow overcharges himself to warp them to Equestria. Shadow is driven insane by his overload and becomes a murderous version of his Super form, while Sonic is in hiding. Rainbow Dash also joins the Wonderbolts, but unfortunately develops a intense bitter rivalry with their leader, Spitfire (ironically her idol), as they are made aware of an assault
